Maryam (AS) stands in the Quran as one of the greatest women ever created — a woman chosen, purified, and elevated above all others.
*And ˹remember˺ when the angrl said, “O Mary! Surely Allah has selected you, purified you, and chosen you over all women of the world.*[3:42]
Her life offers Muslim women today a powerful role model to follo
*And Maryam (Mary), the daughter of Imran who guarded her chastity* and We breathed into (the sleeve of her shirt or her garment) through Our Ruh [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel)], and she *testified to the truth of the Words of her Lord [i.e. believed in the Words of Allah: "Be!" and he was; that is 'Iesa (Jesus) - son of Maryam (Mary); as a Messenger of Allah], and (also believed in) His Scriptures, and she was of the Qanitin (i.e. obedient to Allah).*[At-Tahreem:12]
Unshakable Faith in Times of Hardshi
Maryam (AS) faced loneliness, accusations, pain, and public judgment — yet her trust in Allah never wavered. Her story teaches: You can stand firm even when the world misunderstands you. Allah sees your private struggles. ✨ Inner strength comes from deep Tawakkul( trust and reliance)
Purity of Heart and Character
Allah describes her as:
“Maryam, who guarded her chastity…” (66:12)
Her example reminds every Muslim woman that true honor is in preserving your heart, your values, and your relationship with Allah, no matter the environment around you.
Devotion to Worship
From childhood, Maryam (AS) devoted herself to worship. She found peace, identity, and purpose in her connection with Allah.
Lesson: In a noisy world, a woman’s greatest empowerment comes from her worship.
Courage in Standing Alone
Maryam (AS) carried her pregnancy alone, without support, yet she remained calm, patient, and connected to Allah.
She teaches: Even if people don’t stand with you, Allah never leaves you. Your dignity is not defined by people’s opinions.
Allah Supports His Servants in Miraculous Ways*
When Maryam (AS) was in labor, exhausted, Allah sent her:A stream, Fresh Ripe date, Comforting inspiration ,Miracle to defend her honor (baby ‘Isa speaking!)
Lesson: When you turn to Allah sincerely, help comes from places you never imagined.
